The Baltimore Bullets has been the name of three different basketball franchises over the years. From 1944 until 1947 it was an American Basketball League franchise and then a NBA franchise from 1947 to 1949. The franchise officially folded in 1954. In 1961 a franchise was formed in Chicago and were called the Packers. After one year the team changed its name to the Chicago Zephyrs and a year later they moved to Baltimore. The Bullets name was resurrected in 1963 and lasted until 1973 when the team moved to Washington and became the Capital Bullets and then eventually the Washington Bullets and finally the Washington Wizards. |
